Problem

In a triangular field PQRPQR, ∠P=90∘\angle P = 90^\circ with PQ=24 mPQ = 24\,\text{m} and PR=32 mPR = 32\,\text{m}. A drainage channel is to be dug from PP perpendicular to QRQR, meeting QRQR at SS. (i) Find the length of QRQR. (ii) Calculate the length of the drainage channel PSPS. (iii) The channel divides the field into two smaller triangular plots, △PQS\triangle PQS and △PRS\triangle PRS. Find the area of each plot.
