Problem

(Machine shaft displacement) (i) Prove that if an angle θ\theta is measured in radians and the corresponding degree measure is DD, then D=180 θπD=\dfrac{180\,\theta}{\pi}. (ii) A machine shaft turns 7575 radians clockwise from its reference position. Convert this rotation to a positive angle between 0∘0^\circ and 360∘360^\circ, expressed in decimal degrees correct to one decimal place. (iii) The shaft then reverses direction and turns π3\dfrac{\pi}{3} radians anticlockwise. Determine the final angular position of the shaft, giving the answer in degrees, minutes and seconds (nearest second).
