Problem

Consider the polynomial p(x)=x3−6x2+11x−6p(x)=x^{3}-6x^{2}+11x-6. (i) Calculate p(1)p(1), p(2)p(2) and p(3)p(3). (ii) Using your results from part (i), identify which of the numbers 1,2,31,2,3 are zeros of p(x)p(x). (iii) For any number among 1,2,31,2,3 that is not a zero of p(x)p(x), state the remainder obtained when p(x)p(x) is divided by the corresponding linear factor.
