Problem

Water rises vertically through a pipe of uniform area. At point A (bottom) the gauge pressure is 2.0×105 Pa2.0\times10^{5}\,\text{Pa} and the speed is 2.0 m s−12.0\,\text{m}\,\text{s}^{-1}. Point B is 2.0 m2.0\,\text{m} above A and the speed there is the same. Calculate the gauge pressure at point B. (Take ρ=1000 kg m−3\rho = 1000\,\text{kg}\,\text{m}^{-3}, g=9.8 m s−2g = 9.8\,\text{m}\,\text{s}^{-2})
