Problem

A rechargeable battery in the school laboratory is used to move electric charge through an external circuit. (i) Define electric potential difference between two points in an electric circuit. (ii) State the relation connecting potential difference, work done and electric charge. (iii) The battery moves a charge of 4.0 C through the circuit and does 18 J of work. Calculate the potential difference between its terminals. (iv) How much charge would the same battery have to move to do 45 J of work at the same potential difference?
