Problem

At point OO, line ABAB is a straight line. On the same side of ABAB, rays OCOC and ODOD are drawn such that OCOC lies between OAOA and ODOD. The measures of the three adjacent angles on this side of ABAB are given as follows: ∠COA=(2x+15)∘\angle COA = (2x + 15)^\circ, ∠COD=(x+5)∘\angle COD = (x + 5)^\circ, ∠DOB=(3x−35)∘\angle DOB = (3x - 35)^\circ. (i) Write an equation connecting the three given angles using the fact that they together constitute a straight angle. (ii) Solve the equation to find the value of xx. (iii) Determine the measure of each of the three angles. (iv) State whether each of the three angles is acute, right or obtuse, giving reasons for your answer.
