Problem

Assume that the displacement (ss) of air is proportional to the pressure difference (Δp\Delta p) created by a sound wave. Displacement (ss) further depends on the speed of sound (vv), density of air (ρ\rho) and the frequency (ff). If Δp∼10 Pa\Delta p \sim 10 \text{ Pa}, v∼300 m/sv \sim 300 \text{ m/s}, ρ∼1 kg/m3\rho \sim 1 \text{ kg/m}^3 and f∼1000 Hzf \sim 1000 \text{ Hz}, then ss will be of the order of (take the multiplicative constant to be 1).
