Problem
Three identical electric bulbs are connected in parallel across a battery. On a given day, each bulb works independently with probability 0.95. Using this information, answer the following:
(i) Find the probability that all three bulbs work.
(ii) Find the probability that exactly two bulbs work.
(iii) Find the probability that the parallel circuit gives light (i.e.
at least one bulb works).
(iv) Five such parallel circuits are installed in different rooms, each functioning independently of the others. Find the probability that all five rooms receive light on that day.
