Problem

The line 2x+ky−8=02x + ky - 8 = 0 meets the coordinate axes at the points AA and BB respectively, while OO denotes the origin. (i) Express the area of △OAB\triangle OAB in terms of kk only. (ii) If the area of △OAB\triangle OAB is 12 cm212\text{ cm}^2, determine the possible value(s) of kk. (iii) For each value of kk obtained in part (ii), state the corresponding x-intercept and y-intercept of the line. (iv) For the positive value of kk, sketch △OAB\triangle OAB and label the intercepts clearly.
