Problem

Nuclei of a radioactive element AA are being produced at a constant rate α\alpha . The element AA has a decay constant λ\lambda . At time t=0t = 0 , there are N0N_0 nuclei of element AA . (1) Calculate the number of nuclei ( NN ) of AA at any time tt . (2) If α=2λN0\alpha = 2\lambda N_0 , calculate the number of nuclei of AA after one half-life of AA and also the limiting value of NN as t→∞t \to \infty .
