Problem
A 24V lead–acid battery is rated at 40Ah. It is required to run an electronic load for 5h without recharging.
(i) Calculate the total electrical energy that the fully charged battery can supply.
(ii) Determine the maximum constant power that the load may draw so that the battery lasts exactly 5h. Assume the battery behaviour is ideal.
