Problem

A single circular loop of radius 10 cm10\,\text{cm} carries a current of 4 A4\,\text{A} in the clockwise direction when viewed from point PP situated on one side of the loop along its axis. (i) Calculate the magnitude of the magnetic field at the centre of the loop. (ii) Which face of the loop will act as the north pole when observed from point PP? Give a reason for your answer. (iii) If the direction of the current is reversed while keeping its magnitude unchanged, state how your answers to parts (i) and (ii) will change. Justify each statement.
