Problem

While tuning an analogue radio, the sound reaches a maximum loudness at one particular setting of the tuning knob. The loudness peak becomes flatter when the resistance inside the tuning circuit is increased. (i) Why is the sound loudest at that particular tuning? (ii) Why does increasing the resistance make the loudness peak less sharp?
