Problem

A bicycle wheel of radius 35 cm35\,\text{cm} starts from rest and rolls without slipping in a straight line. The wheel completes 250250 full revolutions in 20 s20\,\text{s}. (a) Calculate the total linear distance covered by the wheel during the 20 s20\,\text{s} interval. (b) Determine the average linear speed of the centre of the wheel. (c) If the wheel instead completed only 199.5199.5 revolutions in the same time, find the corresponding linear distance and comment on the fraction of a revolution represented by the difference.
