Problem

A square conducting loop of side 0.20 m0.20\,\text{m} and resistance 2.0 Ω2.0\,\Omega is placed in a uniform magnetic field which is perpendicular to the plane of the loop. The magnetic flux through the loop varies with time according to Φ(t)=(5.0×10−4 Wb) t2\Phi(t)= (5.0\times10^{-4}\,\text{Wb})\,t^2, where tt is in seconds. Answer the following questions. (i) Calculate the magnitude of the induced emf in the loop at t=3.0 st = 3.0\,\text{s}. Also find the induced current at that instant. (ii) State clearly whether the induced current at t=3.0 st = 3.0\,\text{s} is clockwise or counter-clockwise as seen by an observer to whom the magnetic field lines appear to enter the page. Give reasons for your answer.
