Problem

A charged particle, of mass mm and charge qq , moving horizontally at a speed vv , enters a region between two charged parallel plates of length ll , between which there is a uniform electric field of strength EE in the vertical direction. Which of the following statements is not correct? (1) It will take a time of lv\frac{l}{v} for the charged particle to pass through the parallel plates. (2) Whilst between the parallel plates, the charged particle will have an acceleration of Eqm\frac{Eq}{m} . (3) Whilst between the parallel plates, the charged particle will follow a parabolic path. (4) Whilst between the parallel plates, the angle between the charged particle's velocity and the electric force acting on it is always 90∘90^\circ .
