A 2kg block is pulled along a horizontal rough surface by a horizontal force of 12N. The coefficient of kinetic friction between the block and the surface is 0.20. The block starts from rest and is displaced through 5m.
(i) Calculate the work done by (a) the applied force and (b) the friction force.
(ii) Determine the net work done on the block and hence find its speed after moving 5m.
