Problem

A bicycle starts from rest on a straight level road and moves with uniform acceleration. (a) Define uniform acceleration. (b) The bicycle attains an acceleration of 0.6 m/s20.6\,\text{m/s}^2 for 10 s10\,\text{s}. Calculate its final velocity at the end of 10 s10\,\text{s}. (c) Find the distance travelled by the bicycle during these 10 s10\,\text{s}. (d) Draw a neat sketch of the velocity–time graph for the motion described above and shade the area that represents the displacement found in part (c).
