Problem
A ladder rests against a vertical wall forming a right-angled triangle with the ground. The foot of the ladder is 2.5 m away from the wall and the ladder makes an angle of 60° with the horizontal ground.
(i) Calculate the height at which the ladder touches the wall.
(ii) The ladder is 5 m long. Verify by calculation whether the given information is consistent. Show all working.
