Problem

Two particles move in a uniform gravitational field with acceleration gg. Initially, the particles are at the same point above a tower and move horizontally in opposite directions with velocities v1=3 m s−1v_1=3\,\text{m}\,\text{s}^{-1} and v2=4 m s−1v_2=4\,\text{m}\,\text{s}^{-1}. Find the distance between the particles when their velocity vectors become mutually perpendicular.
