Problem

(i) State the amplitude and fundamental period of the function f(x)=sin⁡2xf(x)=\sin 2x. (ii) Describe, with reasons, how the graph of f(x)=sin⁡2xf(x)=\sin 2x over 0≤x≤2π0\le x\le2\pi differs from that of g(x)=sin⁡xg(x)=\sin x drawn over the same interval. (iii) On the same set of axes, sketch one complete cycle of f(x)f(x) and one complete cycle of g(x)g(x), clearly marking the points where each curve meets the xx-axis and the coordinates of their maximum and minimum points. (iv) Using your sketch or otherwise, determine how many solutions the equation sin⁡2x=sin⁡x\sin 2x=\sin x possesses in the open interval 0<x<2π0<x<2\pi, and list those solutions.
