Problem

Let f(x)=x4−4x3+ax2+bx+12f(x)=x^{4}-4x^{3}+ax^{2}+bx+12, where aa and bb are real constants. (i) Find the remainder when f(x)f(x) is divided by x−3x-3 in terms of aa and bb. (ii) If this remainder equals 55, obtain the relation between aa and bb. (iii) Given further that f(1)=0f(1)=0, determine the values of aa and bb.
