Problem

Let f(x)=x4−4x3+6x2+5f(x)=x^{4}-4x^{3}+6x^{2}+5 for all real xx. (i) Find f′(x)f'(x) and solve f′(x)=0f'(x)=0 to obtain the xx–coordinates of all stationary points. (ii) Find f′′(x)f''(x). (iii) Using your results, determine the nature of each stationary point and give its coordinates. (iv) Justify that the function has no other stationary points on the real line.
