Problem

In a singly-ionised helium atom (He+^{+}), the energies of the third and second Bohr orbits are −6.04 eV-6.04\,\text{eV} and −13.6 eV-13.6\,\text{eV} respectively. Calculate the wavelength of the photon emitted when the electron falls from the third to the second orbit. (Take hc=1240 eV nmhc = 1240\,\text{eV\,nm}.)
