Problem

Consider a circle with centre OO and two chords ABAB and CDCD. Answer the following questions. (i) Define (a) a chord and (b) a central angle of a circle. (ii) State the relationship between equal chords and the angles subtended by them at the centre. (iii) If AB=CDAB = CD, prove that ∠AOB=∠COD\angle AOB = \angle COD. (iv) Conversely, if ∠AOB=∠COD\angle AOB = \angle COD, prove that AB=CDAB = CD. Explain your reasoning clearly.
