Problem

A straight conductor 0.30 m0.30\,\text{m} long carries a current of 10 A10\,\text{A} and is perpendicular to a uniform magnetic field of 0.40 T0.40\,\text{T}. (i) Calculate the magnetic force on the conductor. (ii) The conductor is now rotated so that it makes an angle of 45∘45^{\circ} with the magnetic field. What current must flow through it so that the magnitude of the force remains the same as in part (i)?
