Problem

A circular loop of radius RR carries a steady current II. (i) Derive an expression for the magnitude of the magnetic field at an arbitrary point on the axis of the loop at a distance xx from its centre. (ii) Hence write the value of the magnetic field exactly at the centre of the loop. (iii) For R=0.10 mR = 0.10\,\text{m} and I=5.0 AI = 5.0\,\text{A}, calculate the magnetic field at the centre. Use μ0=4π×10−7 T m A−1\mu_{0}=4\pi\times10^{-7}\,\text{T\,m\,A}^{-1}.
