Problem

Two students recorded solution pairs for the equation 3x+y=93x + y = 9. Student A: (0,9), (3,0), (6,−9)(0,9),\,(3,0),\,(6,-9) Student B: (1,6), (2,3), (4,−3)(1,6),\,(2,3),\,(4,-3) (a) Without plotting any graph, explain why every ordered pair listed by both students satisfies the given equation. (b) Plot any two points from Student A and any two points from Student B on the same Cartesian plane. What do you observe about the positions of these points? (c) Using this example, comment on the number of possible solutions of a linear equation in two variables.
