Problem

Points AA and BB lie on a circle with centre OO. From an external point CC, lines CACA and CBCB are drawn so that they are tangents to the circle at AA and BB respectively. (i) Prove that OA=OBOA = OB and that OA⊥CAOA \perp CA and OB⊥CBOB \perp CB. (ii) Let MM be the midpoint of ABAB. Prove that the three points C,OC, O and MM are collinear. (iii) If OA=7 cmOA = 7\,\text{cm} and OC=25 cmOC = 25\,\text{cm}, find the length of CMCM. (Give the exact value.)
