Problem

An electron orbits a nucleus of charge +Ze+Ze in a circular path. (1) Derive an expression for the electron’s orbital speed vv in terms of ZZ, kk, ee, mem_e, and the orbital radius rr. Express vv as a function of these quantities only. (2) Using your result from part (a), determine the ratio vLi2+/vHv_{\text{Li}^{2+}}/v_{\text{H}} for electrons in orbits of equal radius around Li2+^{2+} (Z=3Z=3) and hydrogen (Z=1Z=1).
