Problem

The daily wages of 100 workers in a factory are given in the following grouped frequency distribution: Wages (Rs): 100–120, 120–140, 140–160, 160–180, 180–200, 200–220, 220–240 Number of workers: 6, 12, 22, 20, 18, 12, 10 Based on this data, answer the questions below: (i) Draw the less–than cumulative frequency curve on graph paper. (ii) On the same axes, draw the more–than cumulative frequency curve for the distribution. (iii) From the point of intersection of the two curves, determine the median daily wage of the workers. (iv) Verify the median obtained in part (iii) by calculating it algebraically from the grouped data.
