Problem

The large positive angle β=920∘\beta=920^{\circ} is given below. (i) Reduce β\beta to its principal value lying between 0∘0^{\circ} and 360∘360^{\circ}. (ii) Identify the quadrant in which the terminal arm of β\beta lies and determine the sign of each of sin⁡β\sin\beta, cos⁡β\cos\beta and tan⁡β\tan\beta. (iii) Using your results, verify that sin⁡2 ⁣β+cos⁡2 ⁣β=1\sin^{2}\!\beta+\cos^{2}\!\beta=1.
