Problem

Derivation question based on uniformly accelerated motion. (a) Starting from the definition of acceleration a=v−uta = \dfrac{v - u}{t}, express the time tt in terms of uu, vv, and aa for a body moving in a straight line with uniform acceleration. (b) Write an expression for the distance ss travelled in time tt in terms of uu, vv, and tt only. (c) Eliminate tt between the expressions obtained in parts (a) and (b) to derive a relation connecting v2v^{2}, u2u^{2}, aa, and ss for motion with uniform acceleration.
