Problem

A particle moves in a horizontal circle with constant speed. Answer the following questions based on this motion: (i) Define the term time period for uniform circular motion. (ii) Show that the distance travelled by the particle in one complete revolution equals 2πr2\pi r, where rr is the radius of the circle. (iii) Using the definition of linear speed, derive an expression that relates the time period TT, the radius rr and the linear speed vv for the particle.
