Problem

A non-conducting solid sphere of radius RR is uniformly charged. Find the magnitude of the electric field due to the sphere at a distance rr from its centre. (1) increases as rr increases, for r<Rr < R. (2) decreases as rr increases, for 0<r<∞0 < r < \infty. (3) decreases as rr increases, for R<r<∞R < r < \infty. (4) is discontinuous at r=Rr = R.
