Problem

A city park is represented on a coordinate grid where 11 unit equals 1010 metres. The entrance gate is chosen as the origin O(0,0)O(0,0). Three landmarks are described below. Entrance plaza EE: 44 units east of OO and 33 units north of OO. Drinking water point WW: 22 units west of EE and 55 units south of EE. Flower bed FF: 66 units east of WW and 11 unit north of WW. Answer the following. (i) Write the coordinates of the points E, WE,\,W and FF. (ii) Plot O, E, WO,\,E,\,W and FF on a suitably scaled Cartesian plane and label them clearly. (iii) State which of the points, if any, lie on an axis and justify your answer using their coordinates. (iv) Determine the quadrant in which the flower bed FF is located.
