Problem

A primary coil has 600 turns and produces a flux of 5×10−3 Wb5\times10^{-3}\,\mathrm{Wb} per turn when a current of 3 A3\,\mathrm{A} flows through it. The flux through a secondary coil of 1000 turns is 6×10−3 Wb6\times10^{-3}\,\mathrm{Wb} per turn. When the switch is opened, the primary current drops to zero in 0.2 s0.2\,\mathrm{s}. Find: (1) Mutual inductance. (2) The induced emf in the secondary. (3) The self-inductance of the primary coil.
