Problem

A network contains three sequential junctions PP, QQ, and RR connected by conductors. The measured branch currents (positive values indicate flow toward the junction named) are: • Junction PP: 4.2 A4.2\,\text{A} enters from the left, 1.5 A1.5\,\text{A} leaves upward, and current I3I_3 flows toward QQ. • Junction QQ: 3.0 A3.0\,\text{A} enters downward, I3I_3 enters from PP, and current I5I_5 leaves toward RR. • Junction RR: 2.7 A2.7\,\text{A} enters from the right, I5I_5 enters from QQ, and current I7I_7 leaves upward to the battery. No other currents enter or leave the circuit. Determine the magnitudes and directions of I3I_3, I5I_5, and I7I_7.
