Problem

The following observations were recorded for a metallic resistor at room temperature. Potential difference VV (V): 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5 Current II (A): 0.02, 0.04, 0.06, 0.08, 0.10 Answer the following questions: (i) Plot a graph of potential difference VV on the yy-axis against current II on the xx-axis using a suitable scale. (ii) From the nature of the graph, state whether the resistor obeys Ohm’s law and give one reason for your answer. (iii) What physical quantity does the slope of the VV–II graph represent? State its SI unit.
