In an experiment on a metallic resistor, the voltmeter connected across it reads 3.2V when the ammeter in series shows 0.32A. Assume the temperature of the resistor remains unchanged.
(i) Calculate the resistance of the resistor.
(ii) If the applied potential difference is increased uniformly to 10V, determine the current you would expect through the resistor, provided it continues to obey Ohm’s law.
(iii) Briefly explain how a rise in temperature of the resistor during the experiment could affect the result obtained in part (ii).
