Problem

A body is acted upon by a constant force F⃗=4i−3j+12k\vec F=4\mathbf i-3\mathbf j+12\mathbf k N. While moving from point AA to point BB, the body experiences a displacement that is known to be along the direction of the vector a⃗=2i+j+2k\vec a=2\mathbf i+\mathbf j+2\mathbf k. (i) Let the displacement from AA to BB be d⃗=λa⃗\vec d=\lambda\vec a metres, where λ\lambda is a positive real number. Express d⃗\vec d in component form in terms of λ\lambda. (ii) Given that the work done by the force in moving the body from AA to BB is 6060 J, determine the value of λ\lambda and hence write the exact displacement vector. (iii) Using your answer to part (ii), calculate the angle between F⃗\vec F and d⃗\vec d (correct to the nearest degree).
