Problem

A pedestrian starts from the origin O of an xx–yy coordinate grid. After walking for 5 s5\,\text{s}, the pedestrian reaches point P whose coordinates are (3 m,  4 m)(3\,\text{m},\;4\,\text{m}). (i) Calculate the magnitude of the displacement OP. (ii) Determine the direction of OP measured as the angle it makes with the positive xx-axis. (iii) Using your results, find the magnitude and direction of the pedestrian’s average velocity for the 5 s5\,\text{s} interval.
