Problem

A series RLCRLC circuit is connected to an alternating source of fixed amplitude. Answer the following: (i) Define the term resonance for such a circuit. (ii) Show that, at resonance, the impedance of the circuit equals its resistance. (iii) Describe how the phase relationship between the source voltage and the circuit current changes when the driving frequency is (a) well below and (b) well above the resonant frequency.
