Problem

Let A = {1, 2, 3} and B = {4, 5}. A relation R on A × B is given by R = {(1, 4), (2, 4), (2, 5), (3, 5)}. Answer the following: (i) Write the domain and range of R. (ii) Explain whether R is a function from A to B. Give a clear reason for your answer. (iii) If R is not a function, remove the minimum number of ordered pairs so that the resulting relation becomes a function from A to B. Write the modified relation and justify your choice.
