Problem

Four conductors D, E, F and G are connected one at a time across a 15 V source. The measured currents are: D → 2.5 A, E → 1.5 A, F → 3.0 A. The current for G is not measured. It is known, however, that the resistance of G lies exactly halfway between the resistances of D and E. Answer the following. (i) Calculate the resistance of conductors D, E and F. (ii) Arrange D, E and F in descending order of resistance. (iii) Determine the resistance of conductor G from the information given. (iv) Calculate the current that will flow through conductor G when it is connected to the 15 V source.
