Problem

A rectangular conducting strip is 15 cm15\,\text{cm} long, 4.0 mm4.0\,\text{mm} wide, and 0.20 mm0.20\,\text{mm} thick. Its resistance at room temperature is 0.95 Ω0.95\,\Omega. (a) Determine the resistivity of the strip. (b) State whether brass (ρ=7.0×10−8 Ω⋅m\rho = 7.0 \times 10^{-8}\,\Omega \cdot \text{m}) is a plausible candidate material and briefly justify your answer.
