Blocks of masses m1=3 kgm_1 = 3\,\text{kg} and m2=2 kgm_2 = 2\,\text{kg} are joined by a light, inextensible string that passes over a smooth pulley. (i) Calculate the magnitude of the acceleration of the blocks. (ii) Determine the tension in the string. Take g=9.8 m s−2g = 9.8\,\text{m}\,\text{s}^{-2}.
