Problem

A rectangular garden has an algebraic area (in square metres) given by 12x2+7x−1012x^{2}+7x-10, where xx is measured in metres. (i) Express the area polynomial as a product of two linear factors to obtain algebraic expressions for the possible length and breadth of the garden. (ii) If the breadth of the garden is 7 m7\,\text{m}, form an equation in xx and determine the corresponding value of xx. (iii) Hence calculate the actual numerical values of the length, breadth and perimeter of the garden.
