Problem
Two circular coils A and B are made from the same copper wire. Coil A has radius 15cm and 20 turns, while coil B has radius 10cm and 30 turns. Each coil carries a current of 4A.
(i) Calculate the ratio of the magnetic field strengths at the centres of coils A and B.
(ii) Which coil produces the stronger magnetic field at its centre? Support your answer with the result obtained in part (i).
