Problem

A point QQ on the unit circle has ordinate y=−35y=-\tfrac35 and lies in Quadrant IV. The corresponding angle is ϕ\phi. (i) Determine the abscissa of QQ. (ii) Hence find the exact values of sin⁡ϕ\sin\phi, cos⁡ϕ\cos\phi and tan⁡ϕ\tan\phi. (iii) Without using a calculator, compute sin⁡(180∘−ϕ)\sin(180^{\circ}-\phi), cos⁡(180∘−ϕ)\cos(180^{\circ}-\phi) and tan⁡(180∘−ϕ)\tan(180^{\circ}-\phi). Explain the steps clearly.
